Dear Katherine (aka DoChara)
This is a wonderful site. I have some questions with which I hope you can help. My husband and I and our 2 small children (1&3) will be arriving in Dublin at the end of October. We plan to stay in Ireland as long as we can (basically until the money runs out or we can find a job and stay longer). We have always wanted to live abroad and figure we better do it before our kids start school. Do you know how difficult it is to get a job (we are americans)? And if we do not find a job, how long can we stay as just visitors? Also, we want to buy a car when we get to Dublin. Do you think this is wise? We then want to travel around the country until we find the place we love and want to live for a while. My husband is an experienced cattle rancher/farmer and I am an accountant. Any suggestions on which regions might be in need of farm/ranch help. Also, any advice with our children (can you take small children into pubs?) Sorry this is not a very organized inquiry.
