The Moon Disappears
Last Saturday was a beautifully clear night which meant that the lunar eclipse which was visible from Ireland was easily seen and quite spectacular.
Apparently total eclipses of the moon are relatively common and there have been dozens of them in my lifetime but I don't remember ever seeing one before. It was very strange indeed when the moon disappeared totally, eerie.
