The Streets of Dublin
Browse through Flickr on any Ireland related subject and you are sure to come across photographs by William Murphy, aka infomatique. He is engaged in a fascinating and ambitious project to create a photographic record of the Streets of Dublin and has already taken thousands of pictures to that end.
It really is a comprehensive look at Dublin in the early part of the 21st century - people at work and at play on the streets, shops and shopping malls, trains, trams and buses, signs and graffiti, everyday life and special occasions. There are famous places and ones little known even by Dubliners.
Taken together they are an illuminating glimpse into the varied lives of a rapidly changing city. If you cannot get to Dublin, looking at his images really is the next best thing!
