The Carlow Brewing Company produces three beers in traditional Irish styles, using a natural brewing process and the best of ingredients. Having won numerous international awards, the beers are growing in popularity, especially in the south east of Ireland.
O'Hara's Celtic stout is a full bodied drink with a toasted hop flavour balanced with a natural sweetness, Curim Gold is a refreshing light fruity beer with hints of peach, banana and plum while Molings Traditional Red Ale has a distinctive coffee like finish.
Visitors to the brewery are welcome but because it is a working brewery - not just a showcase - you will need to get in touch beforehand to arrange your visit.
The Goods Store, where the brewery is located, is a lovely old stone building which has been beautifully restored and incorporates a bar where visitors can sample the beers after a tour and which can also be hired for private parties and functions.
