The Brazen Head

Address: 20, Bridge St, Dublin 8
Tel: +353 1 6779549

There has been an Inn at the site of the Brazen Head since 1198, and the present building dates back to 1688 when it was built as a coaching Inn.

In fine weather a crowd gathers outside to chat and enjoy the evening air while inside, surrounded by low ceilings, open Victorian fireplaces and old posters, there is traditional music playing, pints of Guinness flowing and plenty of craic being had by all!

The bar menu has steaks, seafood and vegetarian choices, but most popular are the house specials of Irish Stew and Beef and Guinness Stew. A carvery lunch is served daily, equally popular with visitors and those working in offices in the surrounding area.

Live music is played at the Brazen Head every night of the week and on Sunday afternoons, featuring resident bands and quite often other musision who just drop by an join in.

It's not surprising that after all these years the Brazen Head is still one of Dublin's most popular bars and a must see for all visitors to Dublin.
