Tuar Beag is beautifully located overlooking Galway Bay in the Irish speaking Connemara Gaeltacht. The house is built around the walls and hearth of the original thatched cottage in which the Feeney family lived for five generations, since it was built in 1831.
Today Eamonn and Siobhan Feeney welcome new and regular guests with traditional hospitality to their comfortable modern home and do all in their power to ensure that you feel at home.
All bedrooms enjoy wonderful sea views over Galway Bay and are comfortably and cheerfully furnished. Facilties include TV, Tea & Coffee, Radio, Orthopaedic beds, hairdryer.
A very varied breakfast menu includes the traditional hearty full Irish breakfast, but also lots of choice for those who prefer a lighter meal in the morning.
Spiddal is a small fishing village, just 12 miles from Galway city, and is in an area with much to interest visitors. It's an ideal base for touring Connemara or visiting the Aran Islands and is a paradise for craft lovers, with many craftspeople working in the area.
Tuar Beag is Bord Failte approved and has a 4 diamond rating from the Automobile Association.
