New Ross Piano Festival
New Ross, Co Wexford
Now in its sixth year, New Ross will once again play host to talented pianists from Ireland and overseas on the last weekend in September 2011.
Pianists appearing willl include Enrico Pace with Igor Roma, Kathryn Stott with Noriko Ogawa, and Charles Owen with Katya Apekisheva. Once again the Artistic Director is Finghin Collins.
In addition to the classical concerts there will be “play me” pianos in public places, free al fresco jazz piano sessions downtown, outreach concerts for students, and a masterclass for advanced students.
The master classes are a core and important part of this festival, where the talent of younger pianists meets the experience and knowledge of established pianists and teachers.

The main venue is the 800 year old St Mary’s Church, which is a beautiful old building and certainly adds an extra something to the performances. Seating is limited and early booking is advised.
