Feakle has always been an area steeped in traditional music and is the home of the famed East Clare style.
For more than 20 years this festival has been bringing some of the very best musicians together for a feast of performances relished by all lovers of traditional music.
In addition to the entertainment there are workshops for singers and players of all pretty much all instruments and at all levels. There is storytelling, dancing, poetry, a ceilí mór on Sunday night and guided tours of local areas – there will even be dancing at the crossroads!
The festival is also known for its history of particularly excellent posters.
If you can only attend one trad event this year, pick Feakle.
