Balmoral Show
The Kings Hall, Balmoral, Belfast, Co Antrim
This is the biggest agricultural and equestrian event in Northern Ireland and draws huge crowds every year to the lovely Balmoral Showgrounds. It’s very much a family event with many attending on not just one but all three days.
As well as show jumping and showing classes for horses, there are cattle, sheep, pig and poultry shows and a huge exhibition and trade show of agricultural machinery.
There are produce competitions too and nothing is more hotly contested than the baking and flower arranging competitions which draw huge crowds and a lot of interest.
Balmoral caters very well for children, with entertainment and lots of side shows that will keep them amused for hours. In spite of the high standard of all competitions, it is a very friendly event and a great place to mingle with and meet the people of Northern Ireland at their relaxed best.
After a two hour que to leave the car park at six p.m, with three very small children in the car, we will never be back. Vrey poor organisation.
