Guinness Kinsale Jazz Fringe Festival
An offshoot of the Cork Jazz Festival this event has a slightly less frenetic pace than the larger festival but there is still plenty on offer for Jazz lovers. With events running every day from lunchtime to late night at some 20 venues in the town, you may well find there is no need to ever leave Kinsale and head to Cork.
It being Halloween, there is a theme of suitably themed events running though the programme, with the White Lady is running a Thriller weekend with fancy dress all weekend and a Scary Dance off.
The weekend kicks off with a free entry gig at The White Lady with Jazz and blues sensations “The Blues Brothers Banned”, a 10 piece UK band. Actons Hotel has Dinner and Jazz Cabaret/Dancing with Billy Crosbie and Friends with special guests Paddy Cole and Jimmy O’Byrne, with a similar line up appearing on Monday in the Trident hotel at a Bank Holiday Lunch followed by A Tribute to Michael Bublé.
