Sligo Traditional Singing Weekend

Centered around Sligo town this weekend of singing workshops, informal singing sessions, audio and video presentations, scholarly talks and a field trip is dedicated to the art of traditional singing, which is thankfully alive and well in Sligo and surrounding areas.
Among those who appeared in 2009 were renowned storyteller and singer Mick Quinn, three times All-Ireland champion singer Pauline Hanly and Connemara sean nós singer Peadar Ó Ceannabháin.
In addition to the ever popular singing workshops there will be storytelling, local tours, walks and plenty of music sessions to enjoy.
