The festival celebrates its fiftieth year with a return to its newly renovated home, Waterford’s Theatre Royal.

Since 1951 Wexford has been bringing lesser known operas to a loyal and appreciative audience that travels annually from all over the globe.

The New Ross Piano Festival continues to attract some of the most interesting and talented pianists on the International circuit for a feast of music that draws ever larger crowds.

An annual feast for those who love choral music, this festival brings highly rated choirs from all over the world to Cork each year.

The central event is a competition for adult choirs, but there are many other competitions, gala concerts and social events on the programme also. Standards are extremely high – it’s well worth making a special effort to get to at least one event.

This festival held annually in Bantry offers classical music lovers a varied and packed programme of concerts and recitals from popular works to those less well known.

Doing the whole festival is not for the faint hearted – there are more than 35 events over 9 days – but anyone in the area can just dip in and out for one or two events.

Held every three years in Dublin, this highly regarded competition for young pianists has a strong track record in advancing the careers of the rising stars of piano.

All rounds of the competition are open to the public, so there is a real feast of piano music waiting for anyone in Dublin at the time.
