Reviews & Comments
Claybird is located on a private estate overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by beautiful scenery. They can cater for everyone from complete beginners, to clay pigeon enthusiasts and those more accustomed to shooting live birds. All the equipment you need is provided.
There are two different types of shooting available here. The sporting shoots are closely supervised with instruction provided and sessions lasting for 21/2 to 3 hours. The clays used are varied during each session, simulating a variety of wild targets including pheasant, woodcock, partridge, even bolting rabbit!
For those who want an experience that is very close to that of shooting live birds, driven shoots of a half-day or full day's duration are available. These are conducted in the same manner as a normal driven shoot and are popular with those who want to practice their shooting out of season or who just want a different shooting experience. Driven shoots are not suitable for beginners.
This is a friendly and well-run place and with other country pursuits such as archery, falconry and ferret racing also available a visit here makes a really terrific day out for a group of people travelling together. They prefer to book groups of 6 or more and you will need to make your booking well in advance.
