Part of the extensive and impressive Mount Juliet Estate, there are a range of very good horses available here, but it is perhaps more suited to adult riders and experienced older children.

There is excellent cross country riding, with well built and challanging obstacles to navigate and a variety of sign-posted routes through farmland, woodland and riverside location. Riding here is confined to the estate, albeit that there is a varied 1500 acres of it available, so this is an experience quite unlike the trailrides provided elsewhere and probably best for those who like to stay near to luxury and are not so keen on heading into the wilds.

There is certainly luxury aplenty here, in one of Ireland's finest hotels, and those not interested in riding can play golf, shoot clay pigeons, fish for salmon or trout, practice archery or just chill out in the sumptious spa - which may make you feel less guilty as you head off for another gallop!

Fox hunting with local packs can be arranged in season and tuition is also available. There is a thoroughbred stud farm with a long and illustrious history on the premises which residents can visit.
