There are a myriad of places where children can visit Santa at Christmas, but this one is really something special.
For the weeks leading up to Christmas, Ailwee Cave in Co Clare is transformed into a magical place, with children going deep underground to visit Santa and his elves as they are budy making their preparations in the lead up to the big day.
As well as the underground adventure there is face painting, puppet shows, story telling and other entertainment in the visitor centre and the whole place is decorated in a very special and magical way
You need to book well in advance for Christmas at Ailwee as it invariably books out early.
