Note: Details below refer to the previous event. Updated information for this year will be published here as soon as it becomes available.
Note: Jack and the Beanstalk was the 2007 Christmas pantomime, details of what show will be staged in 2008 are not yet available.
The Everyman Palace in Cork celebrates Christmas with an hilarious modern take on traditional pantomime favourite Jack and the Beanstalk, with Jack joined on his amazing adventures by Jill. It's a properly local take on the old story, with the help of the audience enlisted in a battle to save Cork from destruction and to defeat the evil giant and his wicked ways. The traditional elements of song and dance, jokes and slap stick are all there, with plenty of input from the floor. Expect to leave the show hoarse and in pain from laughing.
Among others appraring here are Jim Mulcahy, Fionnuala Linehan, Shane Morgan and Pascal Scott, well known to Irish audiences from the outrageously funny TV series Killinaskully.
