McGlinchey Summer School

The McGlinchey Summer School will not take place in 2008 but may return in 2009.
Each year the Summer School takes a different theme which is used to kick start conversation and debate on the past, present and future of Ireland. In 2007 the theme was 'Inishowen at Work – Then and Now', with a focus on Trades, Skills and Traditional Crafts.
As well as celebrating the past, the present and future of the Inishowen economy will also feature, with tourist potential of Inishowen, the advantages and disadvantages of its proximity to Derry and potential employment opportunities among the topics that will be explored by leading speakers.
Musical and social events are not neglected, there are exhibitions, field trips and a golf classic - and all this in the breathtakingly beautiful surroundings of the Inishowen Peaninsula in Co Donegal.
