Willie Clancy Summer School
The annual gathering in Miltown Malbay, Co Clare, of all who play, listen to and love Irish Traditional Music, this is an unmissable event if you have any interest in Irish music.
There are workshops and classes for trad musicians and singers with all instruments, ages and standards catered for, concerts by well known musicians and speakers on topics related to Irish music, but the reason people flock here is the extraordinary quality of the impromtu sessions that continue non-stop, day and night on the streets and in the pubs.
This is a VERY popular event among Irish music lovers, more than 1500 students alone attended last year, filling more than 150 workshops. And the numbers who come simply to listen and enjoy are huge.
You will hear traditional music at its glorious best here, don't miss it if you are in Ireland during this time.
