West Cork Chamber Music Festival
The programme ranges from popular classics to little known pieces performed by an international list of musicians.
Concerts are mostly held in Bantry House, with a massive programme that also includes events in other venues around Bantry.
Among those appearing at headline concerts are the Leopold String Trio who will present a concert that features the Beethoven Serenade in D major Op.8, while Rossini's String Sonata No.3 in C major will be performed by a specially assembled quartet of Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Catherine Leonard [violins], Sarah McMahon [cello] and Chi-Chi Nwanoku [double-bass]. The Rosamunde Quartet and RTE's Vanburgh String Quartet also make a number of appearances.
There are afternoon and evening concerts each day with Coffee concerts on many days and a diverse programme of masterclasses, workshops, art exhibition, poetry readings and more running alongside the performances.
Whew!
