This festival is not taking place in 2008.
Youghal (pronounced 'Yawl') is a mecca for sailing folk at any time of year, but especially during this ever popular festival.
In addition to the saling events on the water, there is plenty of land based activity too. There are free live concerts in the square each evening, fun events include raft racing, a puc fada competition and sand castle competitions and sporty types not interested in sailing can enjoy the soccer tournament or the triathlon competitions.
Most of the towns pubs will have musical entertainment in the evenings and there is plenty here to keep kids amused.
