Ahakista Regatta

A very friendly local regatta in this lovely West Cork village, this is one of those friendly small scale events that it is a pleasure to drop in on when you are on vacation. It is very popular locally and can get pretty crowded, so be prepared to park up and stay a while.
Aside from the sailing events on the waters of Bantry Bay, there will be plenty of music, both on the big marquee erected for the featval and in local hostelries, and there are several fun events for kids including swimming competitions and raft racing.
Ahakista is located not far from Bantry, Co Cork, on the Sheeps Head Way between Kilcrohane and Durrus villages.
