Anyone traveling between Dublin and Cork or Kerry will pass through the small town of Durrow in Co Laois, and if you are traveling this weekend it is a good place to stop and have a little fun.
The carnival kicks off with a Canoe Regatta for beginners with at the Old Bridge on Friday, there are soccer tournaments on Saturday but Sunday is the best day for visitors to sample Irish village life with its hair down!
Good family fun and a very friendly event.
