Note: Details below refer to the previous event. Updated information for this year will be published here as soon as it becomes available.

The theme of the festival this year is 'Stars' and you can expect a wide ranging celebration of all things artistic with music, tradition, craft, culture, food, film and literature mostly performed and created by local community groups.

The Bumble Bee Festival is aimed at kids (of all ages!) who will be able to take part in a range of workshops and events covering ceramics, photography, painting, animation and drama.

Community groups from across Kerry are busy creating floats and costumes and devising spectacles for the Parade through the streets of Tralee, which take place on Saturday. There are music workshops and events, walks & talks, comedy, drama, street theatre, crafts and a photography exhibition among the many other events.

This is a festival in which there is true community involvement, with people from all parts of Kerry and all walks of life involved in staging events. It is a very friendly festival where visitors to the area really will be able to meet with and enjoy the events in the company of local people. It is one that kids will hugely enjoy in particular.
