Jameson Belfast Film Festival 2009
Note: Details below refer to the previous event. Updated information for this year will be published here as soon as it becomes available.
A rapidly growing and increasingly popular film festival with films showing and events taking place in many venues around Belfast city including the Strand Cinema, the Waterfront Hall, the Culturlann Centre, the John Hewitt Bar and Queen's University Film Theatre.
There is a broad range of films shown during the festival, including features, shorts, animation and documentaries, and there are generally some popular classics, including movies for kids, with wide appeal - a strategy which has built up a large following for the festival outside of the 'film buff' community. A competition for short films one of the core events.
The programme for the 2009 festival has yet to be announced, but the 2008 programme is available at the website to give a flavour of what you can expect.
