Limavady Jazz & Blues Festival
Note: Details below refer to the previous event. Updated information for this year will be published here as soon as it becomes available.
A particularly relaxed and friendly festival, Limavaddy has grown to become a premier date in the Irish Blues calendar, and has a good serving of jazz thrown in too.
Among the acts in 2008 were Black River Blues, a five piece, jazz influenced, blues band from the North East of England, local favourites Graffiti Limbo, Grainne Duffy whose debut album, 'Out of the Dark', has received widespeard praise, Alan Niblock's JAZZTET and Jazz guitarist Ian Date.
Limavady is not on the itinerary of many visitors to Ireland, but is not far from Derry and well worth a detour for visitors to Ireland in June who enjoy great music in good company.
