Galway Comedy Festival
Galway's comedy festival will this year have performers from USA, Iran, Australia, Canada and the UK joining a strong Irish line up in what promises to be a a bigger and better event the in it's previous 2 years.
From stateside comes New York’s Rick Shapiro, star of TV’s “Lucky Louie”, the camp and outrageous American Scott Capurro, musical comic Jessica Delfino, with her hilarious dirty folk songs and the grumpy deadpan genius that is Rich Hall.
Aussie Brendon Burns with his electic stage presence and provocative political commentary will be new to most of the audience, but could well be the hit of the festival.
Another certain sell out will be Richard Vranch,Steven Frost,Andy Smart and Steve Steen, with special guest Phil Jupitus, recreating the hit UK TV show "Who's Line is it Anyway" live in the Townhall Theatre on Saturday night.
If there is anywhere in Ireland that knows how to 'do' a festival it's Galway, and as usual there will be plenty of entertainment in pubs and other venues around town during the festival week.
