Art in Schull 2007
West Cork has long been something of a mecca for artists and craftpeople and this week long event gives visitors an opportunity to see the work of many of them in the lovely town of Schull.
There will be exhibitions everywhere - pubs, shops, restuarants - and the artists will be present and happy to talk about their work.
In addition to the exhibitions music, theatre and film feature, with a selection of Art House films playing throughout the week and both outdoor concerts and music in the pubs every evening.
On Saturday afternoon the Play Acting Theatre Productions will present “In Search of Colour” on the streets of Schull, a performance specially for children and children’s workshops include Art, Drama and Felt Making.
A-R-T & All That Jazz is an evening of good food, good music and good company, which takes place early, at 6pm on Sunday, and is open to all members of the family.
The final day sees an outdoor Art and Craft Market where people can both see and buy the work of an even wider range of local artists.
Schull is a joy to visit at any time, and will be particularly so during this week.
