Greystones Arts Festival
Greystones Arts Festival, now in its 27th year, is Wicklow’s biggest and brightest Festival and includes four days of non stop Street Theatre, Carnival, Comedy, Music and much more.
The speactacular opening parade, with some of Europes best street artists joined by musicians and local people, sets the scene for a lively bank holiday weekend, packed with events spread over many venues in the town. A Visual Arts Trail with sculpture, painting, photography and print works by Irish artists has been a popular addition to the festival in recent years and is back for 2008.
The festival has a big International Street Theatre element and many indoor and outdoor live music events.
But it is the sheer variety of events taking place, many of them free, that makes this festival a very family oriented occasion and one that really has something for everyone.
