Listowel Food Fair 2008
Food lovers from around the country converge on Listowel in Novemer for a celebration of local food, held in an area where some of the most excellent and interesting small food producers in the country call home.
There will be seminars, competitions, cookery demonstrations, food and wine tastings and much, much more.
Among the awards presented during the festival are ones for cheesmaking, the young chef's award and a prized award for the Best Restaurant in Kerry.
Listowel Farmers Market, which takes place on Friday mornings throughout the year, will have a special street food event, while the local restuarants pull out all the stops to create special menus for the week.
While the lover of gourmet dining will find much to enjoy in Listowel, this is a friendly, local event, very inclusive and with something for anyone who enjoys food to enjoy.
