Fenagh Steam Rally
Location: Carlow
The annual steam rally at Fenagh has been running now since the mid seventies and sees probably the biggest annual gathering in Ireland of steam engines and trashing mills. This is a very friendly event, run by local people and attended by them with enthusiasm and well as drawing steam enthusiasts from a wide area.
It's a great family day out with a huge range of steam engines, vintage cars and tractors and other old classic and vintage machinery to see and lots of side shows, food stalls, childrens amusement and novelty events taking place also.
The setting is perfect, it's like going back to a past era with the old Church as a backdrop and the lovely old machinery laid out in the countryside.
No website, but Fenagh is located on the road between Bagnalstown and Myshall in Co Carlow and the event will be well signposted on the day.
