Tulla Traditional Music Festival
Tulla in Co Clare has a long and venerable tradition of Irish music playing and this annual festival offers visitors four days packed with the best in Irish music, song and dance with a varied programme of sessions, ceilis, workshops and recitals.
Others who will join her on stage include Joe Burke, Ann Conroy Burke, Matt Molloy, Arty McGlynn and John Carty, Mary Bergin, Kathleen Loughnane, Geraldine Cotter, Tommy Hayes, Mick O'Brien, Vincent Griffin and the local Tulla Ceili Band, a stellar line up indeed.
On Sunday the festival spills out into the streets, with music of course and also family street entertainment with puppeteers, magicians and face painting.
Throughout the festival there will be informal music sessions in pubs around the town, and these provide a great chance for visitors to hear the best of Irish music performed simply for the love of playing. A great and friendly event that is highly recommended to anyone interested in traditional music.
