Irish Harp Festival
Not just for Irish harpists, there is something here for lover and players of all styles and types of harp and harp music. The festival has grown to become on of the foremost Harp Festival in the world, with workshops as well as concerts and sessions.
The main activity takes place in workshops where young, and not so young, harpists have a unique opportunity to play together and learn from each other and from visiting teachers and performers.
Among the concerts on offer are ‘Duelling Harps’ with Cormac de Barra,harp; Rick Epping, harmonica; Gráinne Hambley, harp and Brian McNamara, Uilleann Pipes and a Gala final concert featuring the award winning group Liadán.
There are also events and workshops for singers and dancers, on maintaining and tuning harps and on other related topics.
There is a fun easy going athmosphere at in Termonfeckin, where all the events take place, with really good quality live traditional music every evening.
