Classical Music in Ireland 2007 & 2008
Photo by jcorriusThe classical music lover will find much to enjoy in Ireland, though it may take a little seeking out at times! It isn't unusual however, especially in Dublin, to find young music students busking on the streets, as in this picture.
Most of Ireland's Arts Festivals include a strong music programme, with both Irish and overeseas performers often of a very high calibre. In Dublin the National Concert Hall is home to a higly regarded full time Orchestra, the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, . The concert hall also stages regular recitals, in particular very popular lunchtime series.
The radio station to tune to while in Ireland is Lyric FM - the only station in Ireland with a strong classical leaning.
