Multifarnham, Co Westmeath
NOTE: As of July 2008 it appears that this accommodation and the adjoining restaurant are no longer in business.
The name means "the fire" or "the hearth" and this restaurant with rooms lives up to that inviting description, with a cosy and homely athmosphere throughout. Bedrooms are a decent size and well furnished and there is a quiet and welcoming sitting room for guests.
The restaurant serves good food well prepared, nothing too unusual or exciting but with top quality local ingredients used to excellent effect.
People keep coming back, which is its own recommendation.
Rates guides are per room for 2 people, usually with
breakfast.
