Butler Court: Kilkenny City
Type: Guesthouses
It took a considerable restoration effort to bring this old courtyard, formerly part of the castle grounds and in the centre of town, from its former dilapedated state to its current high standards.
Rooms all open onto the courtyard and are large, more like suites, with very comfortable beds and good bathrooms with power showers (not universal in Ireland!).
The location is perfect, right in the heart of town but quietly off the street. There is no dining room, instead a good continental breakfast is served in your room.
Family run and family friendly.
Rates guides are per room for 2 people, usually with
breakfast.

This is Kilkenny's best kept secret, a haven of tranquility some 100 metres
from the buzz of one of Irelands most engaging cities. Yvonne was friendly
and welcoming and made us feel at home. The accomodation was spotless and
comfortable, with the wonderful cherrywood floor bringing a touch of class
to what is a truly delightful hostelry! Would definitely recommend Butler
Court to anyone - we'll certainly be returning!
