Something of a well kept secret among regular guests and in theory a B&B, Egans House is really more like a small hotel, with over 30 bedrooms and a very high standard of facilities. It is well located, with a frequent bus service to both the Airport and the City Centre (about a mile away) right outside the door and, a real boon in Dublin, free safe car parking.

Bedrooms are generously sized if not huge and are clean, bright and modern with comfortable beds and very good bathrooms. All rooms are equipped to hotel standards and the recent introduction of free internet access via wi-fi has made this a popular place with business travellers.

Breakfast is good and plentiful if unexceptional and while evening meals are not available there is plenty of choice within waling distance.

Egans is a busy and popular place but has not lost its friendly touch - the staff are exceptional and on a recent visit went out of their way to be helpful. The room rates are very low for accommodation of this quality in Ireland's capital and there is a wide range of room types with several suitable for families. A real bargain.
