In a former school teacher's house dating back over 100 years, there is a warm and friendly athmosphere here, with the family who run it ready to offer advice about touring and share their knowledge of the area.
There are just six guest rooms, each prettily decorated and with a good private bathroom.
There is also a nice self catering unit in a converted stone cottage in the grounds which is ideal for families. A laundry room is available for guests - a very good idea which could usefully be copied elsewhere.
Rates guides are per room for 2 people, usually with
breakfast.
