A lovely 17th century house beautifully maintained and decorated both inside and out, this place is a real treasure and while described and a bed and breakfast is really much above the normal B&B standard.
If you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all, in lovely surrounding and with plenty of pampering then this is it. In the middle of a working dairy farm there are fabulous walks and lovingly tended gardens all around the house.
There are five guest rooms and each is individually decorated to a very high standard, very well furninshed and with top quality bed linen. All have excellent private bathrooms. The public rooms are decorated in the same elegant country house style and are comfortable and welcoming with blazing fires and sqashy sofas to relax in.
Breakfast is special. Much of the produce comes from the farm (the herb and fruit gardens here will be a particular joy to anone with an interest in gardening), there are home made preserves and freshly baked bread and an interesting and varied choice of hot dishes.
You will feel like a genuinely welcomed private guest here, it is homely, friendly and informal. It is not however a great place for young kids who may find it all a bit too quiet.
Rates guides are per room for 2 people, usually with
breakfast.

Our 3 days at Foxmount were wonderful. The owners and staff were great.
The areas country side is a beautiful place to get away and see Ireland.
Foxmount should definately be a stop on a trip to the southern end of
Ireland.
