More Accommodation in Co Antrim
Carnlough, Co Antrim
Originally built in 1848 as a coaching inn, this Georgian style building has been owned by the same family now for more than 50 years and they are experts in making guest feel welcomed and at home.
Some bedrooms are in a new wing, and although these are somewhat more modern than those in the old part of the building we prefer the older ones, especially those which have views over the sea. All are large, comfortable and well furnished in a traditional style, with good bathrooms.
The Tapestry Room & Frances Anne Restaurant is renowned locally and is the recipient of many awards. Its a wonderful place to sample local fare very carefully and delicious prepared - freshly caught fish, including lobster, is a speciality as is Antrim mountain lamb.
An unusual feature is that traditional High Tea is served in the restaurant in the early evening before dinner begins. Less formal though no less excellent food is available all day in the Coach House Bar and Grill.
The hotel is a populat venue for conferences, which can be a bit of a nuisance to guests who are not part of them, so ask in advance if there is one booked when you plan to visit.
Rates guides are per room for 2 people, usually with
breakfast.
