St Mullins, Co Carlow
This unprepossessing house is in a beautiful location overlooking the Barrow River and Brandon Hill and is a lovely and very friendly place to stay if getting away from it all appeals.
There is plenty to do however - many people come here to avail of the range of treatments available in the attached Body Treatment Centre and the area is a popular place for walking and canoeing holidays.
Bedrooms are unfussy but clean and comfortable with private bathrooms. Some have balconies overlooking the lovely Barrow Valley.
Dinner is excellent, with fresh local ingredients to the fore, an emphasis on organic produce and careful cooking. The work of a good cook who really loves food is evident in the morning too with organic eggs as you like 'em for breakfast.
Rates guides are per room for 2 people, usually with
breakfast.

Comfortable, excellent food, a mystically enchanting peaceful place. The
beauty of the river viewed from every angle of the house is a great delight
and Mulvarra House is indeed the place to enjoy this georgous vista
