Previously the home of Lord Longford and more than 250 years old, this elegant and historic country house has been refurbished to a very high standard. It is a warm and welcoming house, with blazing fires, a warm and vibrant colour scheme.
The bedrooms vary in size but most are larger than those in more modern houses, like mini-suites really. All are very well decorated, furnished in traditional country house style and are exceptionally comfortable.
There is an imaginative breakfast menu which includes particularly delicious pancakes, and breakfast is served in the imposing vaulted dining-room. Evening meals are not provided, though there used to be a restaurant here at one time and it may be possible to arrange evening meals in advance.
Rates guides are per room for 2 people, usually with
breakfast.
