Calling this a guesthouse is not quite right, but it isn't a hotel either, in fact is somehow defies categorisation.
The bedrooms, each named in a wine theme, are huge, superbly and luxuriously decorated and each has a balcony with views over the river. Bathrooms are nothing short of amazing and the hotel offers a menu of luxurious bath experiences which can be enjoyed in the privacy of your room.
No detail has been overlooked, there is a welcome bottle of wine, underfloor heating, cafetieres and 'proper' coffee in each bedroom and room service is available 24 hours a day.
Public areas are welcoming, comfortable and wonderfully designed. The accommodation is next door to one of the best restaurants in the country.
It's not cheap but staying here is an experience you will remember for a long time - this place is as close to perfection as it gets.
Rates guides are per room for 2 people, usually with
breakfast.
