Family Friendly Accommodation in Ireland
Far too often a hotel or other accommodation announces itself as being family friendly simply because they allow childen to stay. Well, big deal!
To get on our list, they need to provide more than just the option of a family room. They must truely welcome younger guests, provide facilities for specially for them or just be a place where children really have fun - and their parents can relax.

It can be quite a challange travelling with kids, they easily tire of sight seeing and need a good place to retreat to - a home away from home. And a place filled with antiques and other valuables is just too stressful for parents, who live in terror of a huge bill for a broken family heirloom.
So there are not that many very fancy hotels here (though there are a few) and a lot of the places we recommend for families are run by families, which really can mean a lot.
If you have stayed somewhere in Ireland that was particular relaxing for you and enjoyable for your children, please let us know - other parents will truely thank you for the tip!
