Ireland is Free on Wednesdays!

Well, at least you can now visit many heritage sites in Ireland completely free of charge every Wednesday.

This results from a great move by the Government to encourage both visitors to Ireland and those of us who live here to visit the many historic buildings, monuments and other site that are in state care.

So, what places are included? Anywhere that that we’ve listed as free with a Heritage card – so you’ll find a full list here and details about many of the places on the list here.

This is set to run until the end of 2011, but may be renewed in future.
