While classical music – chamber music in particular – is the main focus at Boyne, there are also exhibitions, poetry readings, lectures and a series of workshops for children.
It all takes place at Townley Hall, a magnificent Georgian mansion in the Boyne Valley. The huose is renowned for its wonderful proportions and the quality of the materials and craftsmanship used in its construction. During the festival there are tours available.
Compared to some festivals this is quite a low key event and perhaps the better for it. The town does not get swept up, events are small and intimate and you’ll keep bumping into the same people, all of which makes for a friendly atmosphere and much making and renewing of acquaintances.
Date and details for 2023 subject to confirmation.
