This event is build around free events in two city parks – Merrions Square in Dublin and Fitzgerald Park in Cork – during which a host of street performers from around the world do their amazing things.
And amazing they often are, with fire eaters, contortionists, acrobats and sword swallowers joining musicians, artists and singers. There are concerts, family picnics, artisan food events and outdoor screenings plus tours of street art and a midsummer night dinner – really something to please everyone.
While entry to the park and all events in them is free, the street performers are there under their usual terms – if you like what you see, pay them what you think it was worth.
