Held in association with Alliance Francais, the French Film Festival is now in its 22nd year.
The main part of the Festival are the screenings of 35mm feature films, documentaries, short films and educational films, but there is also a lively programme of audio-visual events, lectures, master classes and workshops, many featuring internationally renowned film-makers.
There is a big effort made to reach out to the local community, with an education programme for both school and university students, and a good range of events that will appeal to children and families.
Events take place at various locations around Cork city in obvious venues, like the Gate Cinema, and less obvious ones such as Fin Barres Cathedral. This year there also be some events out of the city, at Ballymalloe.
