The square in Wicklow will be a place of untold horror this Hallow’een, as the historic Wickow Gaol, with local restaurants and pubs, create a series of spooky events for Halloween Week!

There is storytelling (suitable for all ages), Fancy dress and a Scary Movie Night, a family hog roast in the goal yard and night tours which are extra terrifying and suitable only for over 18s.

Kids especially will love the cafe in the goal, where such tasty treats as vampire juice, sticky toffee applies and bobbing apple pies with ghost cream and other spooky treats. Adults can dinewith the inmates, partaking in  a delicious feast  following a ghostly tour of the gaol.

Irish Ghost Hunters will lead a Halloween Spirit Hunt in the Gaol, a Paranormal Investigation. The Goal is reputed to be host to many ghosts and there are multiple reports of unexplained phenomena and spirit apparitions.

Aside from the scary stuff, Wicklow Goal has an interesting history and is worth a visit at any time, so getting along there at Halloween is a good bet for all the family.

Date and details for 2023 subject to confirmation.
