Electronic and Dance music forms the core of the Life Festival, with PsyTrance, Progressive, Breaks, D&B, Electro, Minimal Techno, Dub, Ambient among others – it’s quite a mix.

Audiences for these musical styles are not exactly spoiled for choice at other events, so this is a welcome addition to the Irish musical calendar.

The event takes place in the lovely surroundings of Belvedere House and Gardens near Mullingar in Co Westmeath. This is a magnificent 160 acre Lakeside estate with a Georgian Villa, Victorian Walled Garden, extensive parkland and Romantic follies including the largest in Ireland, the Jealous Wall.

As well as the music there are arts installations, a tepee and yurt village where arts and crafts workshops are held, and a Body & Mind corner offering a range of massages and other therapies. A street performance ring has jugglers, magicians, sword swallowers and clowns.

Food is available on site in the food village with Organic food, noodles, crepes, falafel, fruits, meats and smoothies all on offer, while those who live to shop can do so ethically in the shopping village where both local crafts and world crafts will be on sale.

Date and details for 2023 subject to confirmation.
