My husband and I are in the process of planning our first trip to Ireland to fulfill a dream of my husband's for many years. It was my 60th birthday gift to him. We will fly into Dublin on May 26th, spend two nights at the Kilronan House Hotel, and see some of Dublin. May 28th we will rent a car and travel to a central location in the southwest of Ireland. We have reservations to stay three nights at Flemingstown
Hi there, First of all, I want to thank you for this wonderful site -- I have used it more than any other for planning my upcoming trip to Ireland in early May (May 4-13). The preamble: I would prefer to go for a longer time period (2-3 weeks) but this is all I have. The reason I am going at this time is for a friend's wedding which will take place in Cork on Friday the 11th. So in theory
My husband and I are spending three weeks in Ireland. The last four days we will be in Donegal. My question is this, is the Giants Causeway doable as a day trip from Donegal or is it best to stay overnight somewhere closer? From whichever place, Donegal or Antrim we will be driving to Lusk to spend our last night close to Dublin airport. Too ambitious?
Hi all, We are quite excited about our upcoming first trip to Ireland. One bit of information we are hoping to find out about is whether there are any feis (dance competitions) scheduled during the last two weeks in May. My daughter dances and would love to be able to say she danced in Ireland. Thanks, caboyd
We are visiting Ireland for the first time in November and have never driven on the left side of the road. Is there a way to hire a personal driver for a couple days until we get used to the change? Or any other advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
